On another note, very proud to say this year I have been blessed to win a ribbon of merit at the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival for my egg piece, currently have work in the Visual Fringe Festival, and won first place at a Recycled Art contest with my Seahorse piece. This has been a tremendous period of growth for me, and it is very reassuring that I am having success with my art now. Definitely gives a little confidence as I continue my art journey into college.
Currently I am spending the last week, week and a half creating personal pieces on the wheel(really nice as it's been almost a year since I've done pottery as opposed to sculpture) and sculpting my first head!!!It's a small head of Bert from Mary Poppins!!!Really excited to see how it turns out, and trying really hard not to feminize the features.
